BY SONG COOK'S

Soondubu is a comforting Korean stew made with soft tofu and vegetables. It is served boiling vigorously and is often accompanied by a bowl of cooked white rice.

Includes:

Two Servings of Stew | One Pack of Silken (Soft) Tofu

Traditionally, Soondubu is served in the vessel it is cooked in, which was historically robust porcelain. Very little is known about the origins of tofu in Korean cuisine. The closest historical guess is that Soondubu first made an appearance during the Joseon dynasty (1392-1897) when healthy trade agreements existed between Korea, China, Japan and Manchuria. During this time, porcelain was one of Korea's main exports.
